Stuffing Dinner at TGIFriday's

Club Sandwich for 375

I haven't heard of TGIFriday's before but when I went shopping with Ivan for the first time at Centrio Mall, she suggested that restaurant to me. When we were wore out our strength walking around and buying new clothes, I decided to finally take a break for dinner.

I ordered their club sandwich for appetizer which I regret a bit. It was actually delicious but my mistake was that the serving size was so large that we were unable to finish it. I couldn't believe I forgot to realize that the sandwich is a snack and not appetizer. If you want to try and have a snack there, try their club sandwich.

Adobo Ribs for ₱395
I love ribs so I ordered the adobo ribs for my meal. It pretty much tasted just like adobo. Only they used ribs. If anyone of you hasn't heard of adobo, it is a famous Filipino dish simmered with soy sauce and vinegar.

Chocolate Shake for ₱165
Ivan was the one who ordered a chocolate shake for her drink. I tasted it and it was very creamy. I think they put a lot of milk in it.

Liempo TS for ₱375
To compare Liempo TS with my order, I'd say the Liempo TS tastes better. It was juicy and very tender. Ivan let me taste some and I really liked it. I wish it was the one I ordered instead.

Mango Shake for 165
Okay! Here is my rant for their mango shake; it was dreadful! I cannot believe anyone would sell a fruit shake without even putting milk in it! I mean really...they just blended mango fruit and sugar and that's just it. With a high price like that? It didn't bring justice to the taste of their mango shake! It was a total rip off! I rather just buy some orbits for only ₱45. It's creamy, cheap, and tasty!

Eden's Pizza

at 1:28 AM 0 comments
I went to Cepalco Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City branch to pay for our electric bill. As I walked past the gasoline station, I noticed that a lot of people had walked from a certain pizza shop with a pizza box on their hands. When I finally finished paying for my electricity bill, I saw another guy came out with a pizza box again. I got curious why they have lots of costumers so I decided to buy one of their pizzas.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
When I entered the room, the delicious scent of pizza greeted me. There was a 3 family members nearby eating pizzas and I got so jealous so I bought take out pizza right away. If you want to order Eden's Pizza from your home, you can call tel#(088) 855-5133. They don't charge for delivery.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I ordered their "Pepperoni Delight" for only ₱135. It was indeed delighting because it's delicious and yet, cheap! My brother even told me I should have ordered for 2 whole pizzas 'cuz he can eat the entire pizza all by himself. Well that wouldn't be surprising because the pizza wasn't really that big.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
Here is the close up picture of the melted cheese and pepperoni! So yummy!!!

Here is the picture of Eden's Pizza menu. As you can see, they are all cheap but I assure you, they're all delicious.

Refreshing Frappuccinos @ Starbucks

at 9:56 PM 0 comments
When I went to our rendezvous with my friends, I was exactly 2 minutes late. Cherryl arrived first and I found out she was actually 10 minutes early. That was so sweet of her. Since Ivan was a bit late, we talked briefly about stuff which was really okay. When Ivan arrived, we went to Starbucks to try some refreshing coffees. We were asked if we add some snacks but we're not for it at the moment so we refused.

Please click on Photo for Larger View

Please click on Photo for Larger View
We all ordered frappuccinos, Ivan ordered for Chocolate Cream (₱130), I chose Coffee Jelly (₱155), and Cherryl ordered  for Java Chip (₱155.) All of the orders were in "tall" size and which was the smallest size they got. It came a relief for me 'cuz I don't think I could ever drink more than that size when it's already filling. It was very delicious and I wish to try every menu they have in the near future.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
The only drinks here who doesn't have chocolate syrup was mine; the Coffee Jelly. I think because the jelly inside was good enough already.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
After a few hours of sitting there and chatting, one of the workers offered us their free coffee sample. I really loved it! Much more than what I had ordered. It was a blended iced coffee with whip cream and caramel syrup. I like the staff there too - they were nice and smiley. I wish we were inside though but the seats were full so we stayed outside instead. Still, I had a great time.

Sweet Dessert @ Bigby's

at 3:33 PM 0 comments
I came at Bigby's and was greeted immediately by the waiter. He offered me some soup but I refused since I didn't have the desire for any salty food at the moment. I intended to have dessert only because I just ate my lunch which I came to regret because the smell of food and the other costumers having a good time eating made me envious. I promised myself though that I shouldn't have a meal before going there next time.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
What I loved about the ambiance of the restaurant was their old theme. They used antique stuff like old books in old shelves, they also had an old compass, and old clocks with different time. Each clock has the time of certain different countries. What I can only remember there were London and Sweden.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
There was also a huge ancient map of the world on their ceiling and newspaper cuttings wrapped in a huge rectangular lamps that contains different landmarks of the world.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I never tasted strawberry shortcake before, so I ordered it today. It was tasty and sweet; very heavy though for someone who just had lunch of course so I didn't manage to finish it all. The topping they used on the ice cream and for spreading on the shortcake was vanilla ice cream. What they did was spread some strawberry jam around it to make it more Strawberry-like in flavour. The price is only ₱175.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
As for the drinks, I ordered their Raspberry Iced ea for only ₱89. There is no exaggeration here but I have to admit that it was the best Iced Tea drink I had ever tasted in my whole life. It was very delicious! The only wrong about it was that they served it with bubbles on top and I don't like that in my drinks. Even whenever I pour Soft Drinks in my glass, I always do it slowly to prevent bubbles. That is why I hope they pour their drinks slowly next time; there is no need for a rush.

Big Flat Bread Birthday Treat

at 3:18 PM 0 comments
When the menu was set, I ordered their speciality called "The Godfather Pizza" in its "Biggest" size. I personally didn't know how they managed to cook it quick because from what I remember, it seems the 36  inch pizza was served in no less than 25 minutes. There were only 6 people and 2 little kids eating the giant pizza but we didn't manage to finish it all. In my calculation, it would take 8-10 people who can finish this pizza; so if you want to invite your friends for some pizza, you better know exactly what you want!

Please click on Photo for Larger View
For the drinks, I ordered the Big Flat Cooler. It is a refreshing Four Seasons juice with bits of watermelon slices inside. Since it's not enough for all of us, I had to reorder more drinks and this time it was the 1.5 litre Coke. The pizza was very delicious and they're generous with meat toppings. I didn't like their hot sauce though because I didn't find it too hot enough -I always love hot sauce and the more spicy it is, the better. I think that is the only thing I can suggest to them is to change their "hot sauce" lol.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
In my opinion, I find the price of the pizza at Big Flat Bread cheap because the size of the pizza gives justice to your payment. Compare this to Greenwich where their "barkada" pizza cost ₱349 and my brother can eat that alone.  I was so glad when I went home because I spent no less than ₱1,500 for all the orders. I was left with more change to enjoy my birthday further.

Sinigang na Hipon

at 4:41 PM 0 comments
When my mother came to visit, I told her how much I craved for "Sinigang na Hipon." It is a sour soup with vegetable and shrimps/prawns. My mother used prawns and that made it way better! A few days before that, I was watching cooking tutorials from "PanlasangPinoy" on Youtube and I stumbled across the soup. Since then, it stuck in my head and all I wanted was to have some.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I have the best mother in the world! When I told her how much I wanted the sinigang, that night she made me some right away. We ate it the moment it was cooked and it was steaming and tasty. My mother used "Knorr" sampalok mix for the soup and I'm recommending it because I can't say negative to the flavour at all.

Here is the close up picture of the soup....

And here is my bowl serving...
I was so happy when I finished eating. My cravings were satisfied indeed.

Bon Cafe @ N Hotel (Part 4)

at 3:09 PM 0 comments
This is my last entry for Bon Cafe meals as I don't see any more food pictures on my folder. For each dinner, me and Steve had our orders for no less than P1,000. Each meal, we were always stuffed and satisfied whenever we left from Bon Cafe. I actually cannot determine which dish was my most favourite since they're all good in different ways. I hope Bon Cafe will maintain its reputation and to improve more, for the benefit of them and of their customers.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
This "Coffee Ice Cream Cake" was just dainty! This was my last meal with Steve because the next day, he flew back home to Canada. He wanted to order the same dessert as well but since it was mother's day that time, a lot of people ordered this dessert and good thing there was one left so he gave it away to me. It's too bad I don't have a close up picture for the ice cream cake but on top of it was a cherry. This ice cream cake costs P140. Anyway, as for the "Chicken Fingers with Mayo Dip," it costs P190 and is a tasty appetizer. This serving can fit 2 people.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I remember ordering this dish at lunch time and we had it delivered on our room. It was very delicious but they use the bony part of the chicken too much, I had to nibble all the time and there were so many since Bon Cafe serve really big! I have to suggest to them that they should remove the bony part of the chicken so that the customers will enjoy more. Other than that, the dish was really delicious!

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I had to be honest here because I want my entry to be reliable for the readers. This is the only worse dish I ever tasted at Bon Cafe. I hope it's only for me and the way it served because when I tasted it, it stinks. I didn't smell it but it tasted pretty bad. The sauce was delicious though more than Big By's Baby Back Ribs sauce. The only wrong about this was the meat itself. I hope they made a mistake with the preparations because if it's the same with the others, their reputation might suffer since there are people who are easily discouraged the first time they tasted the worse foods. Good thing I tasted a lot of good food first at Bon Cafe before tasting this or I wouldn't encourage Steve to eat there again. The price for this baby back ribs is only P350.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
As I am used to my Filipino-Sweet-Style Spaghetti, I was appalled the moment I tasted it. I really can't appreciate it because it's my first time tasting such a sour spaghetti. But this is the normal flavour for Spaghetti Marinara so I cannot complain about it. If people can appreciate sour spaghetti then you can try this for only P180.

Bon Cafe @ N Hotel (Part 3)

at 7:17 AM 0 comments
The staff of N Hotel's Bon Cafe were always courteous with us and served us with pleasing smiles on their faces. They got used to me and Steve having our dinner there and it seems the waiters who served us loved him. Steve tips big and I can tell you, they had miss him when we finally checked out. So anyway, another entry for our Bon Cafe meals and experience. Hope this information gives a good tip for you if you wanna try out Bon Cafe.

I forgot to mention that before we start our meal, we were always served with their free corn soup. The corn soup was very creamy and served hot. It taste better with pepper.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I'm not always a fan with pineapple but the reason why I ordered this pineapple shake was because I wanted to taste something different. Surprisingly, it tasted good but it just cannot be as good as the mango shake in my opinion. The price for pineapple shake is only P80.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I ordered "Chicken Cordon Bleu" first because the waiter explained to me what kind of food it was. It's a ham wrapped with chicken and coated with gravy. I didn't manage to have the dish because it was sold out so the next day, Steve ordered it for himself instead while I ordered the different dish I wanted to try as well. I asked him how it was and he said he doesn't like it much and I can see it from the look of his face. Compared to honey orange chicken were he mentioned how good it was for like a hundred times. He gave me a piece and tasted it for myself and I had to admit, it wasn't delicious at all. I reckon, because the ham, the chicken, and the gravy didn't blend well together. If you want to give it a try, you can buy it for only P260.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I had "Pork Belly with Asian Sauce" for P350. This dish was marvellous! I'm recommending this to anyone who loves pork. The skin of the pork however, was too hard to chew and wasn't as tender as the meat. But I wouldn't make a fuss out of it since I don't usually eat pork skin unless it's fried or "Lechon Baboy." You would love this dish very much and I can guarantee you that. You will stuff yourself easily because it has a large serving size.

Bon Cafe @ N Hotel (Part 2)

at 6:52 AM 0 comments
This is my second entry for the same restaurant, Bon Cafe. I've got more entries to come since we spent 10 days at N Hotel and we had a chance to order the different food they had on their menu. I just fell in love with the restaurant really! It has a very refreshing smell, astounding ambiance with jazz music, good service and the waiters always re-fill your glass of water when they notice it's empty. I just cannot see any reason for someone to dislike it. Bon Cafe is that good.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
Typical mango shake really but they use real mango fruit for it; not just any mango flavouring like other people would sell. I can also tell there's milk mixed in it hence I find it delicious. You can have a sip for only ₱80.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I never tasted cheese sticks before but I had the idea how it's cooked. I should try to cook it when I have the time. It's too easy 'cuz all you have to do is slice cheddar cheese, wrap it with Chinese egg roll and fry, then you're done! The cheese sticks tasted well with their plain flavoured crackers. The cheese sticks for only ₱180 is enough to fill you up honestly, we asked the waiter to clear our table because we couldn't finish it.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
At first my boyfriend ordered this orange chicken for ₱250. He kept saying how delicious it was and when I had a small bite, I agreed it was really juicy and tender. On the next day, I ordered it for myself so I could enjoy it more but I didn't enjoy it at all. I realized that the sauce was too sweet and was sensitive on my mouth. Steve disagreed with me but I think maybe that's just my sense of taste. I can't tell you I can't recommend it since someone else enjoyed it after all, but I suggest that  you should take only a bit of sauce with the chicken because the sauce was just overly sweet.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
We ordered cappuccino after our dinner and it served a bit late than the night before Steve ordered it. We both like the design they made in the coffee. I can't say much about it though because it's just a mere coffee really. It was a bit bitter so I had to add more sugar. You can have it for only ₱80.

Bon Cafe @ N Hotel

at 6:19 AM 0 comments
When my boyfriend from Canada visited me here in the Philippines, he chose to stay at N Hotel as a result of his hours of researching what the best hotel in CdO is. A lot of foreigners who experienced N Hotel recommended it as a must-try hotel for its cleanliness and attentive staff.

There were lots of compliments from customers of N Hotel and it in fact lived up to our expectations. The food at Bon Cafe Restaurant was as good as the Hotel itself; with very reasonable price and huge servings too!

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I ordered Bon Java Smoothie because of the beautiful picture of it on the menu. People always say to not judge something by its cover but I sure didn't make any mistake for doing so. Bon Java Smoothie was the best smoothie I have yet tasted!  It is one of the orders I cannot forget. You can have it for only  ₱95.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
My boyfriend, Steve, ordered Chicken Quesadilla for our appetizer. It was a real appetizer alright! The tasty quesadilla with shredded chicken and melted cheddar cheese. Because we love the Chicken Quesadilla so much, we ordered it alot when we spent our days there. It costs ₱180 pesos and good for 2-3 persons.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
Tenderloin Steak for only ₱350. It is good but not tender. I just can't recommend it for someone who has false teeth because even I with normal teeth was having a hard time chewing it. The next thing I did was to slice it in very tiny pieces and that's how I started enjoying it.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
On the next day, we had some snacks in the afternoon and we had Pepperoni and Cheese pizza for only ₱220. At first when Steve ordered it, I didn't like the thought of having Pepperoni pizza since I always prefer lots of meat toppings pizza. I actually never expected it to be turned out delicious! It was one of my recommended pizza. They only have tiny size good for 2 people though but I really recommend this pizza.

Breakfast at Jollibee Gateway

at 10:06 AM 0 comments
I woke up early and got dressed to eat breakfast at Jollibee Gateway. I was so hungry because I didn't eat dinner. I was so sleepy to even bother so I woke up with my stomach growling. I didn't like to prepare food for my breakfast because I want it done quickly and I was craving for a Jollibee meal all of a sudden. Luckily I have money enough to spare.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
There are breakfast meals for Jollibee such as eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc. but since I was very hungry, I ordered some spaghetti, chicken, french fries, and an extra rice. I know it sounds heavy but trust me, it was really enough for my needs at that time, hence I managed to finish it all.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I was very satisfied with my orders and I always loved Jollibee's Chicken Joy. So far, Jollibee's fried chicken is the best I ever tasted. I will never say it cannot be defeated 'cuz who knows there might come a time when I come across a well made one. This Spaghetti and Chicken meal along with medium sized gravy and regular coke costs only ₱112.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
As for the regular French Fries, this costs only ₱28 pesos. I love French fries very much! I can't say much about it since most all French fries tastes the same. Especially that this one has no flavour.

Lunch @ Butcher's Best BBQ

at 12:38 AM 0 comments
I don't usually go to Butcher's Best whenever I have a meal outside. The last time I went there was when I was 12 years old and back then, the restaurant was still small. Then, when I was 21, my cousin Yvonne once brought with her these Baby Back Ribs with delicious sauce and 2 other kinds of BBQ meal. I didn't know where she bought it but I kept thinking just how much good it was. I remember telling myself that time that it was the best meat meal I ever had. Two years passed and I suddenly remembered how good that food was so I researched it. I couldn't believe that it was from Butcher's Best  after all 'cuz I don't remember it was that good when I had it when I was 12. I guess they had improved for they even have variety of BBQ meals which they didn't before.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
When I went there to order that Baby Back Ribs I really loved, I found out that it was phased out. I had no idea why they did that for it was really the best! I was very disappointed because I anticipated and craved for those ribs. I actually made a sad face when the waitress told me the sad news :( I was too late to know because she said it was phased out a long time ago. So instead, I ordered their Sinugwow and Original Pork BBQ.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I know that this typical "Sinugbang Baboy" is always delicious but unfortunately, I was served by a slightly burned one and I didn't enjoy my favourite skin and fat parts because it tasted really bitter. You can obviously see it in the picture. The sauce was delicious though and I enjoyed chewing the diced onions as well. This Sinugwow costs only ₱80.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
Since I know that Sinugwow has salty flavour, I ordered their pork BBQ because I know it's sweet and to satisfy my cravings. It's very tender and delicious! It is quite affordable for only ₱14 per stick.

Ron's Chicken and Botoy's

at 2:00 PM 0 comments
It was dinner time when I craved for "Liempo" (roasted pork belly.) It has always been my favourite. So I asked my brother to buy some at Pierto, Cagayan de Oro city. He bought the Liempo at "Ron's Chicken." I was asking him to buy from Botoys but he said they were out of stock so he bought it at Ron's instead.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I was really glad how it turned out because when I tasted the Liempo, it was delicious as the way I wanted it to be. The skin was crispy, I can tell it's fresh and from a young pig for its tenderness. I love how really juicy the meat was too!

Please click on Photo for Larger View
A few days after I had the Liempo from Ron's Chicken, I managed to buy it from Botoy's at late at night. I craved for Botoy's because for me, they've got the best Liempo.

Please click on Photo for Larger View

When I tasted some however, it didn't turn out to be good as I remembered it. I remembered so well that Botoy's Liempo was particularly delicious so I thought that maybe I just had no luck that time. The Liempo I had has no taste at all. I had to rely on my soy sauce because I couldn't taste anything. The skin however, was crisper than Ron's Chicken. I got the feeling  that the cook seemed to forgot putting flavouring on the Liempo because I know from experience that their Liempo  is the best one I've ever tasted. I am not discourage to buy another one from them but I should remind myself to ask and be guaranteed that they didn't make mistake on preparing it. You should all try Ron's and Botoy's Liempo with the same price of 120. Good 3-4 persons.

Potato Corner - My Favourite Fries

at 1:45 AM 0 comments
Today, I'm sharing with you guys my favourite French Fries in the world! It's called "Potato Corner." I'm so addicted to it lately because the fries have 3 different flavours and they are from fresh potatoes. So far, I always order the "sour cream" flavour. There hasn't been a week that I didn't think about it and whenever I went down town  I always stop by at their stall to buy some. The staff were amazingly fast and they never burn my potato fries.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
This was taken from my cellphone. Sorry that it isn't too clear. I took this picture at their limketkai branch which where I  always go for shopping. A lot of people may think it's weird to take a picture of a simple potato fries stall but for me, I don't care as long as I can share a lot of stuff in my blog.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I ordered the trio flavour fries in order for you to see how their 3 flavour options looks like. The first fries from the left is my favourite sour cream, in the middle is the barbecue, and lastly, the cheese flavour. I have to advise you not to choose the trio fries because the flavours don't blend well together. I wasn't a fan with the cheese one because there was too much cheese to enjoy it for long. I can suggest sour cream or Barbecue flavour if you want to try it out!

Please click on Photo for Larger View
Here is the picture of the Potato Corner menu and prices. You can all see the exact prices for different sizes you can choose from. I never tied Giga fries size, maybe I will someday while watching a movie on the cinema.

Please click on Photo for Larger View
I love this pic so much! I remember I showed this kind of pic to Steve from my google search and he said "the potato looks happy." I laughed so hard at that because I imagined potatoes to be fried and they made their potato model looked happy! That's why before I bought my potato fries, I made sure to take a picture of the Happy Potato.
