Breakfast at Jollibee Gateway

I woke up early and got dressed to eat breakfast at Jollibee Gateway. I was so hungry because I didn't eat dinner. I was so sleepy to even bother so I woke up with my stomach growling. I didn't like to prepare food for my breakfast because I want it done quickly and I was craving for a Jollibee meal all of a sudden. Luckily I have money enough to spare.

There are breakfast meals for Jollibee such as eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc. but since I was very hungry, I ordered some spaghetti, chicken, french fries, and an extra rice. I know it sounds heavy but trust me, it was really enough for my needs at that time, hence I managed to finish it all.

I was very satisfied with my orders and I always loved Jollibee's Chicken Joy. So far, Jollibee's fried chicken is the best I ever tasted. I will never say it cannot be defeated 'cuz who knows there might come a time when I come across a well made one. This Spaghetti and Chicken meal along with medium sized gravy and regular coke costs only ₱112.

As for the regular French Fries, this costs only ₱28 pesos. I love French fries very much! I can't say much about it since most all French fries tastes the same. Especially that this one has no flavour.

Lola Bebe's 75th Birthday

Yesterday, I had to escort my brother, yup! that's the word because he didn't want to go to Initao alone. I gave him instructions on how to go there but he was too timid to probably ride a bus alone. I mean seriously, I think no one would get lost if they just follow instructions right?

Anyway, the thing is, we were invited for my Grandmother's Sister in Law's Birthday. It was actually Tita Joy(my mother's cousin) who invited us but since it's Tita Joy's sister who sent my brother to school, my brother wouldn't say no to their family. I was actually wanted to come but somehow, well...I suddenly felt that I will miss Steve for a day so that's why I hesitated to come. I already told my brother but he insisted that I should be there. I was annoyed of how weak he was to not travel alone but something occurred to me, I remember that when the time I was the one who sponsored for our former group which called "First Time Club," most of those members didn't come and I felt that my time, effort, and money were wasted. I expected those people to be grateful but they weren't. That's the reason why I thought that I should really come because I was invited.

We went to Gaisano first because that's where the jeepney is to go to the bus terminal. Me and my brother bought some Jollibee food for snack because riding the bus from CDO to Initao would take around 1 hour. At the time we're in the bus and took off, I was having fun taking pictures with myself and my brother. I also record a short video of the place we passed by. I started to think that it was worth going there just because of the picture taking. Lol, I was really having fun!

When we arrived at my Tita Joy's place, I was enjoying talking with my cousin Gizelle. I always liked her because she and I can always relate to most of things we talk about. I slept there for the night because the next day of that would be Lola Bebe's birthday. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't manage to use their computer because someone was using. I didn't brought the wimax internet with me because I know there won't be signal in their place.

The birthday was great and there were lots of meals on the table. I was a bit guilty eating so much because me and Gizzelle planned to be on diet for the next 2 months in order to get a 2 piece swimsuit pictorial on a beach. But still I ate so much because I want to enjoy it. Besides, that would be the last. lol I hope that our plan will happen. Even if it were delayed, I plan to make it happen. My mother brought her masterpiece Biko (rice cake) at Lola Bebe's birthday. A lot loved it and I hope that one day she'll teach me how to cook it. We stayed there for another night because it was already dusk when the party finished. I enjoyed staying there because the bed was very comfortable and all of my aunts were very hospitable. I hope there will be next time and with lots of picture taking. Good thing I decided to be there because I was having fun.

My Brother's Huge Excitement

Last night, which my brother's 20th birthday, me and Steve were having a video chat on skype. I was having a great time talking with him cuz it's been a while since I showed myself on cam. The bad side about it though was that I slept late and didn't able to wake up early like I always intended to. I will definitely find a way again to be able to sleep early and wake at the same early time which is 7:00 a.m. I find it very convenient to be able to wake up early and get to do a lot of things for the day.

My brother had a good birthday celebration. He had invited more than 10 of his friends. Most of them were women. I finally saw my brother's girlfriend as well but I got pissed off because she's taller than me. Made me feel how terrible my height is. :( Her name is Anna Marie. It sounded close to my aunt's name(my mother's younger sister) which is Hannah Marie. I was the one who cooked the spaghetti as usual. I wanted the spaghetti cooked well the way I wanted it to  be so I insisted on cooking it. My brother told me that alot of his friends said that it was so good. He also gave some for my neighbour Regie and she mistaken it from Jollibee because it was that good. In my brother's opinion, my spaghetti was even better than in Jollibee and I really love it when people praise my cooking so much.

Anyway, back to my chat with Steve. We chatted to almost midnight and that was also the time were his new laptop arrived. I knew how excited he was to spent time exploring it but he chose to talk to me more. He then told me that he has no use for his Macbook anymore and said he will give it to me. I asked him what am I going to do with my laptop then, he suggested to sell it but I gave an idea that I will give the Macbook to my brother because he will need it for his studies. I chose my laptop than the Macbook because I more prefer the bigger screen. When Steve agreed to it, I rushed up to our balcony were my brother and his 2 friends drinking. I told him about the great news and my brother smiled so wide and asked me twice if it's true. He's very happy and I'm glad that it wasn't yet midnight when I told him about his Macbook. It is also one of great gifts for him in his birthday. I think he felt really lucky because he had his birthday celebration which he didn't expected, and a Macbook too. His 2 friends were also smiling and seemed happy for him. Phil told me that he will message Steve in the morning to say his thanks.

When my brother woke up, he asked me to use my laptop to message Steve on facebook and add him to his friends' list. It took long because they were exchanging messages. My brother kept watching the review of Macbook over and over again which made me really amused. I'm happy for him and glad that he was grateful. It is such a good feeling to make someone happy and I know Steve also felt the same way.

Lunch @ Butcher's Best BBQ

I don't usually go to Butcher's Best whenever I have a meal outside. The last time I went there was when I was 12 years old and back then, the restaurant was still small. Then, when I was 21, my cousin Yvonne once brought with her these Baby Back Ribs with delicious sauce and 2 other kinds of BBQ meal. I didn't know where she bought it but I kept thinking just how much good it was. I remember telling myself that time that it was the best meat meal I ever had. Two years passed and I suddenly remembered how good that food was so I researched it. I couldn't believe that it was from Butcher's Best  after all 'cuz I don't remember it was that good when I had it when I was 12. I guess they had improved for they even have variety of BBQ meals which they didn't before.

When I went there to order that Baby Back Ribs I really loved, I found out that it was phased out. I had no idea why they did that for it was really the best! I was very disappointed because I anticipated and craved for those ribs. I actually made a sad face when the waitress told me the sad news :( I was too late to know because she said it was phased out a long time ago. So instead, I ordered their Sinugwow and Original Pork BBQ.

I know that this typical "Sinugbang Baboy" is always delicious but unfortunately, I was served by a slightly burned one and I didn't enjoy my favourite skin and fat parts because it tasted really bitter. You can obviously see it in the picture. The sauce was delicious though and I enjoyed chewing the diced onions as well. This Sinugwow costs only ₱80.

Since I know that Sinugwow has salty flavour, I ordered their pork BBQ because I know it's sweet and to satisfy my cravings. It's very tender and delicious! It is quite affordable for only ₱14 per stick.

Ron's Chicken and Botoy's

It was dinner time when I craved for "Liempo" (roasted pork belly.) It has always been my favourite. So I asked my brother to buy some at Pierto, Cagayan de Oro city. He bought the Liempo at "Ron's Chicken." I was asking him to buy from Botoys but he said they were out of stock so he bought it at Ron's instead.

I was really glad how it turned out because when I tasted the Liempo, it was delicious as the way I wanted it to be. The skin was crispy, I can tell it's fresh and from a young pig for its tenderness. I love how really juicy the meat was too!

A few days after I had the Liempo from Ron's Chicken, I managed to buy it from Botoy's at late at night. I craved for Botoy's because for me, they've got the best Liempo.

When I tasted some however, it didn't turn out to be good as I remembered it. I remembered so well that Botoy's Liempo was particularly delicious so I thought that maybe I just had no luck that time. The Liempo I had has no taste at all. I had to rely on my soy sauce because I couldn't taste anything. The skin however, was crisper than Ron's Chicken. I got the feeling  that the cook seemed to forgot putting flavouring on the Liempo because I know from experience that their Liempo  is the best one I've ever tasted. I am not discourage to buy another one from them but I should remind myself to ask and be guaranteed that they didn't make mistake on preparing it. You should all try Ron's and Botoy's Liempo with the same price of ₱120. Good 3-4 persons.

Canadian Mountie Bear

When Steve visited me here in the Philippines for the 2nd time, one of the gifts he gave me was a black stuffed bear in a Canadian Mountie uniform. When he handed it to me, it made me grin immediately because it was adorable!

Rough Rider Jeans

I went to Gaisano Mall and found out that they were having a 50% off sale for RRJ clothes. It was lucky day for me as it happened to be my payday. I lept at the opportunity and tried to choose jeans that would suit me. None of the long pants fit me, I tried to look for almost all the long pants that  they displayed but most of them were too big or too long for me. Then, I saw the pedal jeans that fits me well. I had no intention on buying pedal jeans but it's the only thing that fits me so I bought it instead.

What I find great about these jeans is that it fits me very well from my waist to my legs and calves. The original price of this was ₱900 but with 50% off, its now only ₱450.
